Space AIT Engineer

YOUR MISSION:
To support our engineering team in the successful production of ISS and other spaceflight facilities we are looking for an Assembly Integration and Test Engineer. This includes producing the latest space hardware and supporting the mission preparation including the assembly, integration and test of real space hardware.
YOUR TASKS:
  • Responsible for assembly, integration and tests of electromechanical hardware used for microgravity experiments.
  • Write and execute test procedures and reports.
  • Research and engage with external test facilities and suppliers.
  • Responsible for the production and testing of 3D-printed components.
  • Partially responsible for organizing laboratory tools, parts, and components.
  • Work closely together with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best performance for the overall system
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • have experiences in similar areas over more 3-5 years
  • have experience with AIT of spaceflight systems
  • have ideally background in electrical engineering
  • are familiar working according to procedures
  • accurate workmanship
  • are experienced with CAD ideally 3DExperience SolidWorks
  • are experienced with MS Office
  • are a team player with communication skills, supportive, well organized and have an independent way of working
  • fluently speak and write in English and ideally good in German
  • ideally experience with ANSYS

DEINE MISSION:
Wir suchen Unterstützung unseres Ingenieurteams bei der erfolgreichen Durchführung unserer ISS- und anderer Weltraummissionen. Dazu gehören der Entwurf und die Entwicklung der neuesten Space-Hardware und die Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung von Missionen, einschließlich der Montage, Integration und Prüfung von echter Space-Hardware.
DEINE AUFGAEN:
  • Montage, Integration und Erprobung Biologischer Experimente für die Raumfahrt, insbesondere im Rahmen der Vorbereitung von Flugmissionen
  • Produktion und testen von 3D-gedruckten Komponenten (SLA) für Raumfahrtexperimente
  • Entwurf von biowissenschaftlichen Experimenten für den Weltraum, insbesondere von Fluidiksystemen und Experimentgehäusen (3-D-Erfahrung oder Catia V5 bevorzugt)
  • Definition/Durchführung von Analysen für thermische und strukturelle Belastungen der Weltraumexperimente in allen Missionsphasen (Transport, Start, auf der Umlaufbahn, Rückkehr)
  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit einem multidisziplinären Team, um die beste Leistung für das Gesamtsystem zu erzielen
DAS BRINGST DU MIT:
  • Erfahrungen in ähnlichen Bereichen von 3-5 Jahren
  • Erfahrung mit AIT von Raumfahrtsystemen
  • Erfahrung mit 3D-Druck (idealerweise SLA)
  • Erfahrung mit CAD idealerweise 3DExperience (CATIA V6)
  • Idealerweise Erfahrung im Bereich electronic engineering
  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit MS Office
  • Teamfähigkeit, Kommunikationsstärke, Hilfsbereitschaft, eine gute Organisation und selbständige Arbeisweise
  • fließend in Wort und Schrift in Englisch und idealerweise gut in Deutsch
  • Idealerweise Erfahrung mit ANSYS
